Celebrate Youth

The Violet Town Community House has been successful in attaining funding from National Youth Week to host an award evening for youth from across the Shire of Strathbogie on the 21 April 2007 at the Violet Town Memorial Hall.

The evening will be presented in partnership with the Shire of Strathbogie and will include live music, short films, an art exhibition and gourmet meals all created by young people from our Shire.

All members of the community will have the opportunity to nominate youth in many different categories, from Academic and Sporting achievements to life skills and individual achievements, of which you are really proud.

If you would like to have any input into this event, or would like to be apart of our organizing team, please contact Annette at the Community House on 5798 1288 or attend a meeting at the Violet Town Community House at 4.30pm on the 26 February.

Young people who would like to perform, exhibit or offer other skills are also welcome to express interest on the above number.
