Open Gardens on Violet Town's Market Day
The Violet Town Garden Club invites all those interested in gardens to inspect the four Violet Town gardens described below.
Collect a detailed information sheet, including a map, at the next Violet Town market on the second Saturday in October 2009. You can also print this page as an information sheet.
When: The gardens will be open from 10:30 am until 4 pm on Market Day.
Cost: $3 per garden on $10 for all four gardens. There will be plants for sale at the 'Native Garden' in Murchison Road, and afternoon tea available at Berkley Park.

The Gardens
- 1. Berkley Park, Murchison Road produces quality meat sheep. Barbara built here in 2004 and designed and planted this beautiful garden. The plant range, colour and artistry of this talented gardener are on full display and a reward for her skill and mulching. Afternoon tea is available
- 2. Native Garden, Murchison Road. Val has taken on the responsibility of this outstanding extensive garden containing an enormous array of varieties. Planted in 2001 this garden is now showing great maturity and offers visitors
- 3. 10 Tulip Street. Noel and Virginia's town garden is a delight and a surprise. Vegetables are a feature grown next to the Honeysuckle Creek as well as new fruit trees. Lawn has gone and is replaced by a water wise garden & roses. Over the past 4 years they have improved paths and edges maintaining the original shape of the garden. You will enjoy this lovely shady garden.
- 4. 17-19 Urmston Street. Darryl and Lynne's beautiful country garden features mature trees and peaceful sheltered surrounds for their home. Recently the setting for wedding photos you will enjoy wandering across the green spring lawns admiring the garden beds in full bloom.
