The Anglican Church of Saint Dunstan in High Street Violet Town was built in 1879 and services have been held there continuously, every Sunday since then.

It has conducted many baptisms, weddings and funerals over that time and so has been an important part of Violet Town's history.

The building is one of the few tangible structures in Violet Town of this era and is a reminder of our heritage and the beginnings of this village.

Unfortunately the building requires substantial restoration of the foundations and the Parish Council is currently gathering information, trying to determine whether the community believes this historic building should be preserved or is important to the people of Violet Town.

The decision made by the Parish Council will determine the future of the building and of regular Sunday services at Saint Dunstan.

The Church of Saint Dunstan is in the Parish of Euroa in the Diocese of Wangaratta.
