The small amount of rain that fell only deterred one stallholder as far as I know and it didn't seem to deter any patrons. As far as stallholder numbers goes it was our biggest ever, the market site was closer to having all sites occupied than ever before.

Some of you may not be aware that awhile ago the committee made a decision not to allow the market to expand any further, previously the basketball court was used in the extra busy months of the year, we didn't want the market to just keep growing and growing with the possibility that the stall numbers would outstrip our customer numbers, if this happened nobody would be happy.

We have put our advertising efforts since then into strengthening our customer base in with the hope that our market can remain stable and continue to serve our local community.

The new central area is gradually taking shape especially now the warmer months are with us. Lois who sells hats and whose husband sells a very special tyre repair kit have returned to their sites in this area.

The black and coloured sheep association continue to have a presence here, they have beautiful wools available alongside both hand knitted and machine knitted garments.

This month there were several stalls selling second hand goods in the central area. The market committee is planning to put seating in the middle of this area in the months to come, which should make it even more attractive.

We have some new people in town who have just moved here from Tarrawingie, their names are Chris and Charles French and they have brought with them their long time business of making and selling beautiful dolls houses, coffee tables and clocks. Fortunately for our market they have decided that they would like an outlet for their wares at the market so they have also become new stallholders.

We are continuing to develop a food area at the Football Club end of the market and we would like to encourage patrons to go their to purchase their needs. Half way down to the footy end we have a new potato van so perhaps you could get a yummy hot potato there and get coffee and desert when you get to the end.

Well that's about it for another month so well see you all at our next market on the Saturday 11 November from the Market Coordinator, Chris 041 623 3584
