Market Report September 2006

It did in fact rain in numerous location surrounding Violet Town last month but after an overcast beginning to the day the skies cleared and we had a beautiful sunny morning at the market and a great turn up of market patrons. All this set the scene for a busy, happy and productive day.

We would like to welcome the football club to their role of food stall holder with their tea, coffee, sandwiches and cakes, they have set up in the club rooms down at the football end of the market. We are still working on the food area down this end and hope there will be even more seating there soon. Please remember when you are a bit peckish that you can now get Thai food, pancake stacks, real coffee, cakes and biscuits as well as something barbecued from the Lions Club in this area.

Also new at the footy end is a permanent fruit and vegetable stall and a stall that sells top quality stainless steel kitchen ware.

Last month we had a new food stall in the pool area opposite the spring roll stall, they are selling homemade, very yummy pizza and next month we look forward to a stall that sells exotic homemade spice pastes, like tandoori.

To wind up I would like to remind all stall holders to keep within the bounds of their site and to let the Market Coordinator know as early as possible if you are not going to be occupying your site in a particular month.

Thanks from the Market Coordinator, Chris 041 623 3584
