Next market - Saturday 8 May and throughout the year on the 2nd Saturday of every month at the Recreation Reserve, Tulip St, Violet Town.

Market News - April Market
Our April market was all brollies and gumboots!
With continued drizzle most of the morning stallholders busily placed protective sides on their gazebos and the fashion for the day from market visitors was wet weather gear and lots of umbrellas.
In this day and age we would be foolish to complain about rain; other than a little inconvenience for all concerned, the market carried on as usual.
The market was full of seasonal produce and plants with most of our regular stallholders in attendance. In addition we had an interesting array of casual stallholders with items as diverse as second hand/vintage clothing, back braces and kryvack machines, matted and framed photographs, natural cordials and cherry sauces as well as shed and outside heaters cleverly manaufactured from disused hot water systems
.The Lions club bbq has relocated to just outside the main entrance into the recreation reserve so you dont have to venture far to enjoy their fare.
Stallholders
Thank you to all stallholders who, despite the unsettled weather, attanded the market with the usual enthusiasm.
We began our new system of regular stallholders paying three months in advance with a degree of success.
We encourage all our regular stallholders to comply with these new arrangements for ease of booking the market and ensured ongoing use of regular sites.
As previously noted, we will credit stallholders for any month they are not in attendance provided they advise the market committee by the Wednesday prior to the market. Of course, in unforseen circumstances, we will credit stallholders who advise us after the Wednesday, however, this will be at the discretion of the market committee and will be considered on an individual basis.

.Volunteers
Thank you, as always, to our small band of volunteers. Without your ongoing assistance it would be impossible to host such a successful market.
The early morning commitement for siting stallholders and the time consuming job of collecting site fees can be quite daunting and we consider our stallholders fortunate to be assisted by such a willing and pleasant group of volunteers.
Thank you also to our young assistant who with the assistance of her parents "finds" and sweeps the site numbers the evening prior to the market and also places the signs on the freeway.
