Our market on Saturday 13 February was made even more pleasand due to some much needed rain throughout the district a few days prior, settling the dust and freshening up the beautiful Violet Town Recreation Reserve where our market is held on the 2nd Saturday of every month.
Stallholders
Thank you as always to our regular stallholders for their continued commitment to our market and also to our casual stallholders who contribute to the freshness and variety of our market.
A reminder to our regular stall holders that we aim to re-introduce quarterly payment of site fees as well as a choice of payment methods. Details of this are still being finalised and stallholders will be notified of how this is to be implemented by newsletter in March 2010.

Volunteers
Thank you, as always, to our small band of volunteers. Without your ongoing assistance it would be impossible to host such a successful market.
The early morning commitement for siting stallholders and the time consuming job of collecting site fees can be quite daunting and we consider our stallholders fortunate to be assisted by such a willing and pleasant group of volunteers.
The jobs of placing signs, seating, umbrellas, rubbish bins and assisting stallholders with trestles and trolleys is imperative to the smooth running of the market. These jobs are undertaken prior to and after the market by two of our volunteers who do so in a jolly and pleasant manner.
Thank you also to our young assistant who with the assistance of her parents "finds" and sweeps the site numbers the evening prior to the market and also places the signs on the freeway.
