Next market will be on Saturday 10 April and then throughout the year on the 2nd Saturday of every month at the Recreation Reserve, Tulip St, Violet Town.

Market News
Our first Autumn market for 2010 on Saturday 13 March was once again enhanced by the delightful weather. The wonderful selection of goods included homegrown seasonal fruit and vegetables; with much fresh garlic available this month, locally grown lamb, olive products, nuts, wine, honey, jams, pastes, pasta sauces, homemade pasta, meusli, cakes, pies and bread.
Our enticing range of delicious coffee, cakes, profertjes and hot food including homemade spring rolls, dim sims, curry puffs, chicken sate sticks and noodles were available. And, of course, who can resist the temptation of a hamburger, cooked on the spot, at the Lions stall. This wonderful community organisation never ceases to entice visitors to their stall with the very Australian aroma of meat and onions on the BBQ!
Of course it is not just the selection above for which the Violet Town Market is renowned; the incredible selection of plants available at our market each month is well known throughout Victoria.
In addition the market will offer you the choice of a variety of stalls including garden art and furniture, jewellery, antique collectibles, stationery, hats, 2nd hand clothes, garden compost and worm juice, 2nd hand books, artsmocks, ironing board covers, craft ... the list goes on!
Stallholders
Thank you as always to our regular stallholders for their continued commitment to our market and also to our casual stallholders who contribute to the freshness and variety of our market.
A reminder to our regular stall holders that quarterly payment of site fees will begin in April 2010.

Volunteers
Thank you, as always, to our small band of volunteers. Without your ongoing assistance it would be impossible to host such a successful market.
The early morning commitement for siting stallholders and the time consuming job of collecting site fees can be quite daunting and we consider our stallholders fortunate to be assisted by such a willing and pleasant group of volunteers.
Thank you also to our young assistant who with the assistance of her parents 'finds' and sweeps the site numbers the evening prior to the market and also places the signs on the freeway.
