Community Grants Program 2006/07 (Round 2)

Strathbogie Shire Council recognises the efforts of the many and varied community groups operating within the Shire and is endeavoring to support this valuable work through the availability of funding under the Community Grants Program.

An amount of $35,000 is available for allocation in this second, and final, round for the 2006/07 financial year.

Mayor of Strathbogie Shire Council, Robyn Machin said, "Applications are now sought under the following categories: minor capital works or purchases, local, community based events and projects listed as priorities in Community Action Plans. We encourage community groups to apply for these very popular grants. Please contact Council's Grants Coordinator, Jodi Bjorksten if you have any questions about the funding criteria."

Maximum funding limits of $3,000 are set in each category. In accordance with the funding criteria, applicants are required to make a financial or in-kind contribution to the project, although no ratios have been set.

All intending Applicants must contact Jodi Bjorksten, Council's Grants Coordinator on (03) 5795 2010 or via email to obtain a copy of the Application Form and Guidelines. Only applications on the prescribed form will be accepted.

Applications will be received until 5pm on Monday, 29 January 2007 addressed to:-

Applications received after the closing date will not be considered. Allocations will be made by Council at the monthly meeting to be held on 20 February 2007.
