Notes from your Mayor - Robyn Machin
This is my last week as Mayor of Strathbogie Shire - the role will pass to the new Mayor on 5 December at the Statutory Meeting. This is a public meeting at 6pm at Euroa Council Chambers.
I have been honoured to serve our community over the past two years as Mayor and have done my best in the many duties - the most important of which is in our community. I wish all a peaceful and happy Christmas.
Drought Feeding Workshops: 140 farmers attended workshops conducted by DPI and the Strathbogie Shire. Feedback has been outstanding from farmers who appreciated having access to a range of good people and information to help with this dry season ahead of us.
The workshops provided information on feeding sheep and cattle, stock containment to protect paddocks, what feed can be used and sourced, what to keep and what to sell and animal health. VFF, Robert Doolan-Centrelink, Carl Fraser from NE Agcare and the Hume Corridor Health Service all participated in the sessions.
Pool opening due 1 December: - Dust off your togs and get ready for a long hot summer by the pool - the VT Pool that is. The cheapest way to enjoy the pool is by purchasing a season pass.
