Violet Town Christmas Carols
Following the Violet Town Primary School Concert, the Violet Town Community Celebration from 6.30 p.m. and Christmas Carols from 8.30 p.m. will be held at the Recreation Reserve Oval.
Come and Celebrate the Festive Season with the compliments of VTAG and the Violet Town Lions Club.
Great free food, including vegetarian, drinks and ice-creams.
Pre Carols Variety Entertainment for everybody, games for the kids, and weather permitting, the pool will be open till 8 p.m.

Thanks to the many people who have contacted us with information on the building of the pool and the Harris Cup. Some great photos have turned up and lots of information is coming to light. Pity we still haven't turned up the old Harris Cup. We are still collecting photos and information for a display late in 2007.
Did you know that a referendum was held on 22 February 1957 by the Shire of Violet Town and by a margin of 175 votes, the motion to build the pool was carried?

AUSTRALIA DAY 2007
The Australia Day Breakfast will be held on Friday 26 January 2007. We invite residents of Violet Town to join us in a free breakfast to celebrate Australia Day.
There will be the raising of the flag, music, guest speaker and the presentation of the Citizen of the Year, Young Citizen and Event of the Year awards. Festivities begin at 8.00 am
Drivers wanted URGENTLY!!

It was a bit hot at our last market which probably has more effect on how long people stay when they visit than stallholder attendance. This time of the year starts a flush of extra stalls. more ..
