VT School Sites History Group

This group will meet again shortly and plans are still underway for opening of the plaques in Autumn 2007. After the last meeting each member of the group went away with a task - people to follow up or photos or documents to find.

Letters were also written to all the local papers and the Weekly Times asking for information. This has had very limited success. Talking to people has certainly been far more successful in uncovering information.

Thank you to everyone who has helped us in our search. We would still love to get more so if you do know some who has information we would love to hear form you.

Mary Burley has offered to help us write up a brief history of each school for the opening. She has a wealth of knowledge and experience in the history field. We were all sorry to hear of Mary's ill health and wish her a speedy recovery, with her treatment.
