The Violet Town Action Group, in partnership with the Strathbogie Shire Council, has been successful in attracting Victorian State Government funding under the “StreetLife” Program to undertake a range of business development and business promotion initiatives, for the benefit of the Violet Town business community.
The StreetLife program is aimed at assisting business communities to identify and develop local economic development strategies to promote improved small business performance and economic growth.
The Project Committee is seeking an enthusiastic, highly motivated individual with exceptional communication skills to fulfil the role of Violet Town StreetLife Co-Ordinator, on a part-time basis (15-20 hours/week, for up to 48 weeks).
In this diverse role, the successful applicant will work with small businesses to identify, develop and deliver a range of business development and business promotion initiatives. It is essential that applications for this position demonstrate a pro-active approach to project management and business development; as well as have proven experience in developing and implementing successful marketing, strategic and business plans/programs.
Chairperson of the Violet Town Action Group, Howard Myers said, "One of the challenges facing Violet Town businesses is the downturn in business activity due to the drought conditions. The appointment of a StreetLife Co-Ordinator, is very timely for our business community, as it will help us to improve opportunities in our local economy."
