Construction of Violet Town swimming pool - 1957
We have been able to go back to the old Euroa Gazettes and get information on the the building of the swimming pool by the Shire and a huge volunteer effort. We now have quite a lot of information on the costs, contractors and the huge number of working bees. more ..

Unlimited Water All Summer
Don't be a drip - join VT FOP. Violet Town 'Friends of the Pool' will be holding a public meeting at 7.30 pm - Thursday, 9 November 2006, Violet Town Community Complex Meeting Room.
This season is the 50th birthday of the Violet Town Pool and we're celebrating.
We have a Community Grant from the Shire of Strathbogie to run some events and festivities and would like community ideas and involvement.
Suggestions for this season's pool operations would also be welcome.

The elephants desperately need corks
They have a huge dart board in their enclosure and use the corks for target practice!
Well not really, but the Friends of the Zoo do collect corks and the money they receive from the recyclers is put back into upgrading the elephant enclosures. So if you have corks, drop them off at my house or you can leave them with Ruth and Mario at the Coffee Shop. Thanks, Robbie Rae
