News from St Dunstan's
Thank you to our community and to the Violet Town Market Committee for your generous support at the October market 'tin rattle', raffle and stall. Your donations are enormously appreciated to help in the restoration of our historic church. Well done to Yvonne Hargraves and her band of helpers who worked hard to make this opportunity a success and to the many who contributed items to the stall for sale.
A census was conducted on Sunday 22 October to gather information about congregations throughout the Anglican Diocese of Wangaratta. Congregations in the Parish of Euroa which include Longwood and Violet Town participated in the census. The last census was undertaken at least 10 years ago so it is time to gather updated information.
The Parish Book Fair is on Friday 17th November from noon to 8pm at St Pauls Hall in Euroa. This is a great place to purchase second hand and new books on a wide range of interests and for all ages.
Wine sales are also helping to raise funds for St Dunstan's. Order forms and details are available from Dru Green on 57 981372. St Dunstan's Dozen is available as a straight or mixed case for $100. Purchasers will have the opportunity to win a Tahbilk Cabernet Sauvignon Magnum worth $50.00 to be drawn on Christmas Day.
Let us all pray for rain to give relief to all creatures great and small.
