Biodiversity Month

Check the program of events in September

Come along and be involved! says Kate Stothers, Department of Primary Industries

Biodiversity Month will again be celebrated in September throughout north-east Victoria.

It is an opportunity to become more familiar with the local flora and fauna of the region. All events are free.

Fauna monitoring, butterflies, wattles and ants as well as mammals, birds, frogs and reptiles, is a 'hands-on' informative day in the Strathbogie Ranges on Saturday 16 September 2006.

Biodiversity Month is jointly organised by the Department of Primary Industries, Department of Sustainability and Environment, Parks Victoria, Goulburn Broken Catchment Management Authority and community groups.

For more information on the program, please contact Kate Stothers, Department of Primary Industries on 03 5761 1572.
