Daisy Street wows Violet Town
A night with a difference was provided by Arts Violet Town on Saturday night when the Daisy Street duo performed at the Parish Perfumery.
A full house enjoyed the easy listening jazz music, including old favourites like 'Cry me a river', 'Fever' and 'Chuck E's in love', so beautifully performed and sung by Tricia and Fiona.
An excellent array of 'finger food' was provided by the Arts Violet Town committee and laid out on each table for all to enjoy while listening and many times joining in with the duo. "The best audience we have had" they said and naturally we believed them.
The Parish Perfumery is an excellent venue in an interesting setting under the gum trees and certainly helped everyone enjoy themselves.
A special thanks must go to the Arts Violet Town committee for going out of their way to entertain Violet Town and there is more on its way.
'Barmaids' a play by Katherine Thomson and performed by the Fishladder Theatre is coming to Violet Town on Sunday 12 November 2006 and will be staged at the Ellen Frances Hotel. Be warned, book early to guarantee a seat as the numbers are limited.
