Funding for Arts and Cultural Development Projects
Council has allocated an amount of $10,000 in the 2007/08 Budget for not-for-profit community groups based within the Shire to undertake arts and cultural development projects. Examples of projects previously funded include:-
- Violet Town Action Group - install plaques recognizing former school sites
- Euroa Little Theatre - 50th birthday celebrations
- Friends of Violet Town Pool - 50th birthday celebrations
- Euroa Pistol Club - history book
- Gilburn Day Activity Centre - shire wide art classes for nursing home residents culminating in an exhibition
- Strathbogie Centenary Committee - updating Tableland history book
- Euroa Arts - poetry night
- Nagambie Old Time Dance Group - dance lessons
- Euroa Writer's Group - publication of local stories
There are no set funding rounds and submissions can be lodged at any time in the financial year with projects to be completed in the same financial year.
