Community Grants Program (Round 1)
Council recognises the efforts of the many and varied community not-for-profit groups operating within the Shire and is continuing to support this valuable work through the availability of funding under the Community Grants Program 2007/08.
In recognition of the excellent outcomes achieved by these groups utilising Community Grants Program funding, Council has increased the annual allocation to $100,000.
Funding will be made available across two rounds offering $50,000 per round.
Round 1 Applications are now sought under the following categories:
- minor capital works or purchases
- local, community based events
- projects listed as priorities in Community Action Plans
The maximum funding limit for each category has also been raised to $5,000. Consideration may be given to funding amounts above this limit on a case-by-case basis.
The funding criteria specifies that applicants are required to make a financial or in-kind contribution to the project, although no ratios have been set.
Only not-for-profit groups based with the Strathbogie Shire are eligible to apply.
All intending Applicants must contact Jodi Bjorksten, Council's Grants Coordinator on 5795 2010 or via email - jodib@strathbogie.vic.gov.au to obtain a copy of the Application Form and Guidelines. Only applications on the prescribed form will be accepted.
Applications will be received until 5pm on 29 August 2007 addressed to:
Ms Jodi Bjorksten, Strathbogie Shire Council, PO Box 177, EUROA 3666
Applications received after the closing date will not be considered. Allocations will be made by Council at the monthly meeting to be held on 18 September 2007. A second round of funding will be announced in mid December 2007.
