Clean Up Australia Day
Robbie Rae, who volunteered to be the site co-ordinator ("I don't know why I do these things" she said), has registered Violet Town for Clean Up Australia Day on Sunday, 4 March 2007.
"We need volunteers to meet at Delahey's IGA Supermarket at 9.30am and will clean up until approximately 12.00 noon". said Robbie
"We need people with cars and trailers as we are targeting Murchison Road and Harry's Creek Road as they are the entrances to town and first impressions are always most important."
"Hopefully some of the cars can travel along with the volunteers. I'll also arrange for the land fill to take the rubbish for us". more ...
