Country Womens Association grants for community events
The Federal Government has funding of up to $3,000 to help stage morale-lifting community events. There doesn’t appear to be a closing date for applications although, obviously, the sooner the better as funds are offered across Australia and it is anticipated there will be significant demand.
The grants are available through the Country Women’s Association (CWA) to raise the spirits of drought-ravaged communities. more ...
Outcomes from Violet Town Community Plan 2007
The Violet Town community plan comprises the intentions of the community to develop the district in accordance with the wishes of the residents of the area. The Violet Town community plan desires to:
- Enhance the Violet Town community as a wonderful place for people to live
- Improve the co-operation between people and groups within the Violet Town community in order to better utilise resources within the community and those allocated to the community more effectively. Embrace diversity of opinion when developing community actions and initiatives.
- Promote the development of the initiatives into action through a process that recognises community and values contributions from all people and groups from within the community.

Victoria’s Heritage Grants Program
The State Government is calling for applications under the 'Victoria’s Heritage Grants Program'.
The grants will provide opportunities for the State Government to work in partnership with councils and communities to conserve and interpret heritage places and objects across Victoria for future generations.
There will be annual funding rounds, ie. 1 round each year until 2009/10, except for heritage advisor funding, where the next applications will be sought in 2008/09. more ...
