It's all happening in Violet Town
This month has seen a flurry of 'things' happening in Violet Town. 'Things' including new footpath in Cowslip St, a new bridge over the Honeysuckle Creek and a possum bridge over the freeway.

The footpath will provide safe passage into the commercial section of the town for Bush Nursing Centre residents. click image
The footpath is long overdue providing as it will, safe passage into the commercial section of the town for Violet Town Bush Nursing Centre residents.
Slipping quietly into town recently, was a footbridge to span the Honeysuckle Creek. The bridge is an integral part of the park design, giving all weather access from Hurt St to the recreation facilities and to the commercial area.

"If you look in a particular direction, lining up the bridge and a new house in Hurt St, it is Violet Town's answer to the Sydney Harbour bridge and the Opera House" said Howard Myers when commenting on the structure.

The third Violet Town happening came as a surprise to all. Interestingly, no one in Violet Town was told of the to-be-constructed possum bridge.
