Rural Land Rebate application renewal reminder

Application forms must be received by the Land Management Officer by 5pm on Friday the 30th of March.

Strathbogie Shire Council would like to remind Rural Landholders that applications for the annual Rural Land Rebate for the 2007 - 2008 rating year will close at 5pm on 30 March 2007.

Strathbogie Shire Council adopted and implemented the Rural Land Rebate in the 1999/2000 financial year. The rebate is a financial incentive to assist in maintaining and improving environmental values. Application forms were mailed to Rural Landholders at the start of the month. The Rural Land Rebate is available annually to Rural Landholders by completing the prescribed application, signing the agreement to perform management actions to achieve the Community Land Management Goals, and returning the form by the due date.

Last financial year 82% of eligible rural property owners applied and received this discount off their Annual Rates Notice.

Landholders can access a copy of Council's Rural Land Rebate Information Kit from the Land Management Officer, Heather Bradbury, on 5795 2010.
