New Community Catering Equipment Available

New catering equipment is now available to community and non-for-profit groups which will make catering for events a breeze.

In a joint project between the Strathbogie Shire Council and Euroa Rotary Club, a towable, portable coolroom and custom built outdoor barbecue/kitchen can be hired for a nominal fee.

The project involved allocation of a State Government grant worth $6000. Council and local Rotary each contributed $3000.

"The equipment is fantastic for groups which organise events like school fetes or picnics and creates new opportunities for fundraising and community get-togethers," Strathbogie Councillor Mick Williams said this week.

The coolroom has shelving to store both food and drinks meanwhile the barbecue/kitchen, custom built by Bill Kenyon of Euroa Truck and Car Repairs, includes a retractable cooking hotplate, safety equipment, gas bottles and rubbish collection plus a sink complete with on-board water supply.

Hire and maintenance of the equipment will be managed by Rotary. For bookings contact Richard McGeehan on Tel: 5795 1788.
