Hall Committee report - November 2007

The painting of the community hall is finished and we have had many positive comments. Did you notice the foyer has had a face lift too. It all looks so much better, including the front of the stage in the hall. Many thanks to all who have made this happen.

The RSL display is taking shape in the foyer to the meeting room. To further improve his area the hall committee is going to put together a wall of awards for the community.

Are you holding a Tidy Town or Australia Day Award for your Community Group. We would like to hang all these in the meeting area as a history wall. Anyone with awards that they would like to hang please contact a member of the Hall Committee.

Also, for anyone with old records of your organization or group, we are organizing a VTAG / history records room. All records will be organized, boxed and labelled as an archive of Violet Town.

It is important that these records are not lost.

Thanks to those groups who are doing the right thing in booking and filling out the forms for the booking of the complex. It certainly makes it easier for Virginnia [tel. (03) 5798 1774].

If you make a booking and then for any reason don't need it, please, a quick call to cancel the booking is all we need. there may be others who could use it and we do need to have an accurate record of users of the complex for insurance purposes.
