Children's Week 30 October - 4 November 2007
Children's Week is celebrated across Australia during the fourth week in October each year and celebrates the rights of children to enjoy childhood. Strathbogie is once again getting into the swing of all things fun and launching a great program of events.
Tuesday 30 October
11am at Avenel Maze Teddy Bears Picnic - special price of $5 per person, BYO lunch.
Special guest will be in attendance and lots of fun craft activities and a program of fun events, including singing and dancing.
Wednesday 31 October
12pm sausage sizzle at Violet Town Bush Nursing Centre with Trixie the Clown, face painting and cake with the residents.
Thursday 1 November
Avenel Kindergarten - All shire playgroups and kindergartens are invited to attend this unique display from Roaming Reptiles from 10am - 12pm. Free activity but parents must book through Community Services on 5795 0000 as places are limited.
Sunday 4 November
At 11am at the Euroa Miniature Railway will be the place to be with a range of free activities including:
- Miniature trains - unlimited free rides
- Special Guest - Trixie the Clown
- Baby Animal Nursery
- CFAs Captain Koala
- Music performance by Whacker and his koala
- Thomas the Tank Engine cake
- Miniature Police Vehicles
- Goulburn Valley Health is bringing their reading boat - storytelling boat
- Face painting, balloons, fun fun fun.
