Strathbogie Shire Council's, Youth Services department is currently working with young people to develop projects of interest and relevance, some of which require assistance from the community to come to fruition. Volunteers are sought for a variety of youth-related activities. More specifically, Volunteers are currently needed to undertake transportation and supervisory roles during activities and excursions, particularly in the Euroa, Nagambie, Violet Town and Avenel areas.
People young and old and from all walks of life are encouraged to apply to become part of the Youth Services Volunteer Team. Young people and adults who wish to volunteer some of their time to projects will receive an induction to Strathbogie Shire Council - Youth Services, as well as ongoing guidance and supervision. Participants will also have the opportunity to develop new skills, make new friends, and enjoy the rewards of being involved in a community project.
Volunteers will be carefully screened and matched to projects of interest. It is also a Government requirement that Youth Services Volunteers complete a Police Check and Working With Children Check prior to commencing their volunteering role with Strathbogie Shire Council.
