Entry 1 Music [not the whole band] Musicians from Violet Town who weren't already snaffled by other community group entries.
Entry 2 Country Fire Authority ...volunteers from our community responding to emergencies in and out of the fire season [the reel is how urban fires used to be fought]
Entry 3 Cars - Violet Town Garage and Car Collectors
Car No. 1 Angus Haygarth red MGTF 1500 was awarded 1st prize at the Victorian MG car clubs concourse competition in Melbourne at Docklands in March this year. The TF 1500 has a four cylinder 1500 cc engine and was produced in 1955. It was the last MG of this body style before the pressed steel body MGA model started production.
Car No 2 Jeff Jennings 1953 ivory colour TFMG Roadster this vehicle has a four cylinder 1250 cc engine. TFMGs were produced between 1953 and 1955
Car No 3 Ian Brown MG race car restored from a wreck in U.S.A. (took over two and a half years.) Multi-concourse winner before going into track competition. Winner of many MG car club events in sprints and hillclimbs.
Note: The MG Car Club is coming to Violet Town on 13 September.

Entry 4 Violet Town Garden Club and Seed Savers The garden club meets on the third Monday morning each month, usually in member's gardens, we would love some new members!
Entry 5 Violet Town Cafe Anne and David Smythe have revamped the Violet Town milk bar; now the Violet Town Cafe, look what else they're contributing to the future of our town!
Entry 6 Peranbin Primary College Violet Town Campus Violet Town Campus is depicting aspects of our school from the past, present and future.. The green/ blue ribbon meandering through the boxes represents our link with the Honeysuckle Creek.
Entry 7 Violet Town IGA Mal and Trish Delaheay and family IGA supermarket providing Violet Town with friendly service and fresh and everyday foods.

Car No 4 Sam Mifsud 1928 Plymouth roadster prize winner at this year's Show and Shine in Euroa.
Car No 5 Lindsay Jennings 1942 Indian Scout motorcycle originally WW2 dispatch bike, just completed Indian Owners Club 80th anniversary gypsy tour from Melbourne to Sydney following the coast. Originally from Merimbula, got started 12 months ago after a layoff of 40 years.
Car No 6 Howard Myers 1974 two litre Alfa Romeo Spider. The same car as was seen in the film 'The Graduate' a classic European 70's styling.
Entry 10 Northeast Yoga and Bollywood Yogis This entry shows students of the Violet Town Saturday morning yoga class The yogis are demonstrating some of the key yoga poses - or those at least that can be performed on a moving platform Also teamed with the yogis are the Violet Town Bollywood Babes, Violet Town meets India! Saturday morning yoga is a dynamic vinyasa style yoga class with an emphasis on breath linked to movement. New students and participants from beginners and above are always welcome.
Entry 11 Hume Corridor Health The Health float is now a regular sight, and serves the community in an outreach way providing health checks and advice, see them at the Violet Town market each month.
Entry 12 Violet Town Early Childhood Centre Children wearing a flower of the different street names in Violet Town.
Entry 13 Violet Town Lions Club The Lions Club float represents the major volunteer work undertaken by the club. Collection of firewood for pensioners for the last 20 years, and of course the famous lions BBQ. Most of Violet Town has cut their teeth on a Lions hamburger, please continue to support our BBQ fundraiser at the Violet Town Market.

Entry 15 Rainbow Flowers and Gifts Erin, Rin and Irene promoting the most beautiful bounty of this amazing district.
Entry 16 Violet Town RSL Field Marshall Ted Armstrong directing the Violet Town RSL contingent of aged warriors. Cyril in his three wheel mine-clearance vehicle is 2IC!

Entry 20 Violet Town Community House Provides groups, classes, and programs for a wide range of ages, see the community house program each term delivered with the 'Village Voice'. The community house invites you to sty after the parade for fundraising BBQ and Bonza Family Bushdance.

Entry 22 Cars - Violet Town Garage and Car Collectors
Car No 6 Luke Doidge. Farrell Clubman 1972 hand made space frame construction 1300 cc engine. Raced in group a throughout the 70s and 80s, purchased in Tasmania, and fully restored here in Violet Town by Luke. Now regularly competes in the historic race meetings at Phillip Island, Winton, and Wakefield park.
Car No 7 Terry McDonald. VH Group 3 Brock Commodore, completely original, nice example of this model and very collectible now.
Entry 23 Violet Town Probus Club The club was established in 1998 for those retired or semi-retired. Meetings and outings monthly for fellowship, friendship and fun.
Entry 24 Honeysuckle Recreational Environment Project The tireless workers of the Honeysuckle Recreational Environment Project are doing what they do best. Working hard and playing well. Planting, mulching, watering, weeding, and just enjoying the creekside environment. Join us as we help to make the Honeysuckle Creek environment a healthier and happier place.
