First of Violet Town's Solar Neighbourhood panels installed
The first installation of solar panels for the Violet Town Solar Neighbourhood occured on Thursday 4 December in Cowslip St by electrician, Jack Smyth.
A crew of four plans to continue with installations for the town and district during December. A total of 48 homes in Violet Town are to have solar panels installed.
The Murchison community is also planning a solar neighbourhood with the launch of Murchison Goes Solar, this coming Thursday 11 December. The meeting went well.
This bulk buy is similar in many ways to the Violet Town Neighbourhood, priced similarly, but importantly the company, Braemac, will cover the $8000 rebate until it is delivered.
Their radius of 60kms around Murchison includes Violet Town, Marraweeny, Warrenbayne, Euroa probably up to about Kelvin View and Avenel. Interested Strathbogie residents should enquire.
Hopefully some people who chose not to or were unable to participate in the VT Solar Neighboourhood will investigate this offer. It looks to be well set up.
