Call for funding applications

Council is now seeking applications for the following 2008/09 funding programs:

Community Grants Program (Round 1)

Allocations are available for not-for-profit groups based within the Strathbogie Shire, up to a maximum of $5,000, under the following categories:

Consideration may be given to funding amounts above the maximum limit on a case by case basis.

William Pearson Bequest

The amount available for 2008/09 is $2,500. Under the terms of the Bequest, the funds are to be applied by Council for the benefit in Euroa of children’s playgrounds, parks and gardens, the Euroa Citizens Band and for the general beautification of the town.

Tourism Festivals and Events Program (Round 1)

Allocations are available under this program for events of regional, state or national significance that can provide tangible tourism and economic benefits to the Strathbogie Shire.

Event organisers may apply for cash sponsorship up to a maximum of $5,000 per annum. Consideration may be given to sponsorship amounts above this limit on a case by case basis.

All intending Applicants must contact the appropriate Council Officer to discuss their project and obtain a copy of the Application Form and Guidelines:

Only applications on the prescribed form will be accepted. Applications will be received until 5pm on 27 June 2008 addressed to:

Strathbogie Shire Council, PO Box 177, Euroa 3666 or via email to info@strathbogie.vic.gov.au

Applications received after the closing date will not be considered. Allocations will be made by Council at the monthly meeting to be held on 15 July 2008. With the exception of the William Pearson Bequest, a second round of funding will be announced in November 2008.
