A very relevant and inspiring workshop is to be held on the 3 December at Tarrawingee (just outside Wangaratta towards Beechworth)

The workshop will be facilitated by Mary Crooks and Liz McAloon from the Victorian Women's Trust called 'Times they are a changing - Climate Change from Women's perspective'

We see this as the first of three sessions. This one we will draw women from the Northern part of the region, it is about women coming together supporting each other, who leave feeling they know more about the issues that climate change presents as well as feeling more positive about the future. They will be left with a feeling of "yes we can do this"

We have funding to run another two seminars in the southern part of the region. All Reference group women are encouraged to attend this first session. Even if it is not in your region it will enable you, by knowing more about it, to promote it more effectively in your area.

It is a day for ALL women.

Women and Climate Change Action

This workshop will give participants an opportunity to hear some of the most recent thinking regarding the impact of climate change in rural Australia, with a focus on strategies and skills to recognize and give full effect to women's capacity for local leadership.

The workshop will be run by Mary Crooks and Liz McAloon of Watermark Australia, a water education initiative of the Women's Trust. Copies of 'Our Water Mark: Australians making a difference in water reform' will be available to all participants.
