We are delighted to receive news that the new Bishop of Wangaratta will be installed on 13th December. He is Bishop John Parkes who is currently the Regional Bishop and Dean of Cathedral of Brisbane. We can now feel confident that the appointment of Parish Clergy will follow in the New Year.
We thank Father John Clarkson and his wife Lorraine for their outstanding service to our Parish over the past three months. He has been inspiring and very active in renewing energy in our church.
Helen Rankin is keen to hear from anyone who enjoys singing and who would like to start singing with others on Sundays. Our wonderful Christmas Carols are enjoyed at this time of year. Singing is fun, healthy and offers many benefits so have a think about it.
The Invergowrie Foundation and Anglicare are offering scholarships to girls who are in need of financial support to continue schooling.
The grants are available to assist with the education of girls between the ages of 6-19 who are full time students, who intend to continue with their study after 2008 and who have been impacted by the drought. Priority will be given in this round to students commencing tertiary study.
Applications close on 12th December.
