The Victorian Women’s Benevolent Trust is seeking to fund ground-breaking projects that advance conditions for women living in Victoria and lead to long-term, socially progressive change.
In this round, one of our interests is in funding applications that address issues and concerns of young women, including:
- violence and harassment within new media technologies
- workplace barriers lack of representation
- young women’s experience of poverty, and
- emerging issues around binge drinking and other drug abuse.
We are mindful that young women may not, as organisations or individuals, satisfy tax requirements for receiving grants. Organisations with requisite tax endorsements will need to demonstrate a capacity to engage and involve young women in developing and driving such projects.
As usual we will also accept applications that address our broader concerns around discrimination and disadvantage faced by women, to improve conditions for women living in Victoria.
Closing date for applications is 5pm Monday December 15th 2008.
