1. Entry is free of charge.
2. Quilts or wall hanging entries must comply with a definition of quilting being "3 or more layers stitched/bound together".
3. Entries are to be made on the enclosed form by 10th February 2010. No late entries will be considered.
4. All entries will be acknowledged in writing, and this receipt must be produced at the conclusion of the exhibition in order to collect entries.
5. Quilts or wall hangings must have a 3 inch sleeve attached to the back of the quilt for the purposes of hanging the items. Quilts without the appropriate sleeve will be draped or folded. Ties on sides of top to attach to ropes would be helpful for those outside.
6. Each quilt is to be clearly labelled on the back with owner's name and title of the quilt.
7. Each quilt is to be delivered to the venue in a fabric bag, clearly labelled with the owner's name, address, phone number, title of quilt and name of quilting group to which the exhibitor belongs if applicable. Each bag is to contain one item only.
8. All entries are to be delivered to Violet Town Memorial Hall on Friday 12th March 2010 between 9.00am and 10.00am. or to Margaret Block, 67 Cowslip Street, Violet Town prior to this date by arrangement.
9. Due to the high cost of insurance and the very complex conditions demanded by Insurance Companies, we will not be providing Insurance cover for our exhibition. Instead we are following the guidelines as outlined by the Victorian Quilters Inc in suggesting that exhibitors investigate having quilts and other craft entries listed in "Outside of Home" Insurance clauses outlined in General Household Contents policies.
10. Quilts may be collected from the Hall between 6.00pm and 7.00pm on Saturday 13 March 2010.
11. Exhibitors may sell quilts through the Exhibition. The organizers will not be responsible for the handling of quilt sales but instead will collect details from prospective purchasers and pass these on to the quilt owner for the finalization of any transactions. Although we will be facilitating but not handling the sale of quilts, a small donation would be appreciated.
