Go solar, but go quickly!

There is still time for homeowners to take advantage of the government's $8000 solar rebate, but you will have to get in quickly, before it's too late.

Due to community interest, five solar neighbourhoods have now been set up in Benalla and district and one in Violet Town.

A solar neighbourhood enables solar systems to be purchased and installed in bulk, cutting costs dramatically.

Depending on the number of houses participating, a one kw system can cost $1895 (after the rebate).

Residents in Violet Town, Boho and Warrenbayne are part of the Violet Town 2 solar neighbourhood. Those living in Tatong, Moorngag, Mallum, Samaria, Swanpool, Lima, Lima East or Lima South are part of the Tatong/Lima group.

To apply, visit www.rezeko.com click on apply and follow the prompts.

The offer for Violet Town closes on 26 February and for Tatong/Lima on 3 March 2009.
