Camp Kitchen Euroa Caravan Park

Strathbogie Shire Council submitted an application to the state government's Crown Land Camping and Caravan Park Improvement Program to develop a camp kitchen at the Euroa Caravan Park.
Council engaged a consultant to prepare the master plan, this process took much longer than expected which has caused delays in the project. The tender has now been awarded to local builder Leigh Dowell with the steel shed components being supplied by All Sheds of Shepparton.
The total cost of the project is $91,950 and it is expected that it will take 2-3 months now to complete.
The camp kitchen will include an under cover BBQ and eating area. Caravan Park patrons will be able to enjoy undercover BBQ, eating and wash up facilities which will greatly enhance the amenities at the Park.
Some of the expected outcomes of the project will be:
- Will better cater for the needs of large groups staying at the park by enabling them all to congregate in one central area for meals, social activities, etc.
- Will increase patronage of park by the availability of facilities which better cater to large groups such as car clubs, caravan clubs, family groups, etc.
- Will provide facilities that meet required health standards.
- Will improve number and standard of facilities at park allowing it to attract additional patronage.
- Will incorporate improved resource efficiency by including water efficient taps and energy safely lighting options.
- Will provide an affordable and safe option for preparation of meals, particularly for large groups.
- Will be designed to be above the flood inundated level to prevent significant damage.
