North East Store Sale Centre at Euroa upgrades

Strathbogie Shire Council is continuing with significant improvement works at the North East Store Sale Centre at Euroa.
Works so far this year have included the installation of two new truck loading ramps with forcing yards to these ramps currently being finalized. The expenditure this year on the ramps and forcing yards will be $109,000. Council is also spending $30,000 on yard upgrades and amenities block upgrades.
Chairperson of the North East Store Sale Centre Committee, Peter Woodhouse said, "Over the past two years Council has spent considerable funds on meeting OH&S requirements particularly in relation to the segregation of cattle and the public and providing raised walkways for sale agents."
These works will considerably improve the operational effectiveness of the yard and help to keep this centre as viable sale centre for Store Stock in North East Victoria.
Local farmer, Tom Wood said, "I'm happy with the upgrades, it's hard work getting cattle off trucks when they don't want to. This will make it easier particularly for off-loading the top deck."
