The Pickled Olive Wishing Tree

Anne Murphy at The Pickled Olive is so generous with her time and organisation of the 'Wishing Tree' Appeal
The Pickled Olive Wishing Tree has grown every year to help make Christmas a merrier one for disadvantaged local people.
Last year’s response was absolutely amazing, as shopkeepers, local businesses and individuals contributed non-perishable foodstuff, toys and other goods for distribution. On a given day, a team of volunteers sorted, combined, allocated and disbursed the collection.
They only wished they could have shown the happy faces of those who were on the receiving end to those who had sent the gifts, but that had to be left to their imaginations!
Anne Murphy at The Pickled Olive, who is so generous with her time and organisation of the 'Wishing Tree' Appeal, is hoping that everyone will reach in to their pockets to help those they know have been struggling to enjoy the festive season.
No gift is too small to be appreciated. If you would like to make a donation, please wrap your item and label it 'Lady', 'Gentleman', 'Girl (xx years)', 'Boy (xx years)' or 'Universal' and take it to The Pickled Olive, where it will be gratefully received.
Support of the local community and staff at Strathbogie Shire Council (who store and distribute the goods) really does make a difference for many, many families who, thanks to their efforts, will have a HAPPY CHRISTMAS!
Gifts will be received at the Pickled Olive Wishing Tree up until 16 December 2009.
