A series of FIRE READY VICTORIA COMMUNITY MEETINGS will be held in the North East Area over the coming weeks.
These meetings are designed to provide communities living in High Risk Fire Areas with information on being “FIRE READY” and how to prepare themselves and their properties for the coming Fire Season.
This list will be updated and made available on a weekly basis as any new meetings are organised. Some of the issues covered at a Fire Ready Meeting are:
- What are your Risks?
- Understanding the new Fire Danger Ratings
- Stay and Actively Defend or Leave Early?
- The New Strategy - PREPARE, ACT, SURVIVE
- Making that important decision
- Preparing yourself and your property for bushfire
- Make a bushfire survival plan
