Kaleidoscope
There are two new programs designed to cater for Parents/Carers and Siblings of Young People with Mental Health/Behavioural issue. The Kaleidoscope program is designed to support Carers through the difficult period when Young People are in the most vulnerable period in their life.
Carer Support Program offers
- A chance to meet other likeminded people in a similar situation and discuss strategies with some of the challenges faced.
- To help relieve some of the burden of feeling alone in your situation.
- Give you a chance to look after yourself in a supportive environment.
- A chance to think about the impact the situation is having on your own health and how to look after yourself.
- To get a better understanding of your young person's behaviour.
Sibling Support Program Offers
- Support for younger family members who can sometimes feel left out when parents are pre-occupied with the young person with mental health/behavioural issues. A chance to for some 'me time'.
- Join in fun activities.
- Be introduced to other young people in a similar situation to you.
