Country Action Grant Scheme (CAGS) and Victalent
Country Action Grant Scheme (CAGS) and Victalent increase the capacity of community sport and active recreation organisations in country Victoria.
CAGS Projects :-
- Improve effectiveness and efficiency of organisations - initiatives to help organisations operate more effectively, including forward planning, governance, organisational establishment or restructure and financial management.
- Skill development for coaches, officials, admin staff and committee members - Funding for coaches and officials, administrative staff and committee of management members to attend relevant training courses. (Funding is not available to enhance the physical skills of players or members).
- Provide accessible sport and recreation opportunities- initiatives to help organisations provide accessible sport and recreation opportunities for all members of the community. Particular focus on people with a disability, women, indigenous, school-aged children, people from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds and older adults. (Please note: Applications will NOT be accepted from schools, hospitals or individuals)
Victalent:- provides a $500 travel assistance grant to community sport and recreation organisations in country Victoria to assist athletes, coaches, officials and teams with the travel costs of engaging in training and competition.
