Community Coach Training Program
The Australian Sports Commission is offering free Community Coach Training Programs (CCTP) in Violet Town in preparation for Term 3 Active After-school Communities (AASC) programs. The CCTP course prepares participants to coach sports sessions in the AASC program.
Community Coach Training Program will be held at the Violet Town Community House in April/May 2010
Dates and time for the CCTP will be confirmed once we have received expressions of Interest from members of the community who wish to participate
Please express your interest to participate in the training by Friday 2 April 2010

The AASC program
:- Provides a dynamic and positive opportunity for local sporting clubs and associations to grow membership
- Improves club resources and aids long-term viability
- Creates links between primary school children and sports clubs
- Assists with promotion of your club and helps to attract new junior members
- Provides an opportunity for your club and/or coaches to gain payment
- Training courses can be scheduled at a place and time that suits those interested in becoming community coaches

Working with Children Check (WWCC)
All AASC program coaches must have a WWCC Card and accompanying valid notice of assessment or current VIT registration in order to receive probationary registration within the AASC program.
You will be required to bring your WWCC Card or VIT Registration with you when attending the CCTP. If you are under 18years of age you are exempt from having to obtain a WWCC. You can obtain an application form for a WWCC from your local post office.
If you do not already have a WWCC, you will need to apply for one prior to attending the upcoming community coaching course.
