Our intention is to make businesses in your district aware of a range of services that are becoming available through the MWEBB Small Business Online program being facilitated through The Centre.
The MWEBB program is being rolled out through Mansfield, Wangaratta, Euroa, Benalla, Bright and surrounding districts until 30 June 2011 and seeks to enhance the capability of small business, including home based business, to maximise their online and IT capabilities.
In providing these services, the team at MWEBB acknowledge that there will be a huge disparity in the type of training required by various businesses and even within businesses themselves.
With this in mind, we are currently rolling out introductory workshops that provide information for all levels, from the IT savvy to the complete novice, with the intention of making all present consider what Online is, and how best to make the most effective use of the technology that is available to us.
Feedback from these workshops is then used to provide targeted training packages to meet specific needs: by way of example we are currently running tuition here in Benalla, where we have already rolled out some Intro Workshops, for groups as disparate as those seeking an Introduction to Computers to others seeking to synchronise the exchange of data between mobile devices and their landlocked systems. All of these services are provided at minimal cost and at times and locations that are convenient to the recipient.
We are currently developing a website (note: address listed in flier is not yet accessible) which we intend to utilise for training as well as information services.
The term Small Business covers a huge range of enterprise and with virtually anyone who is an ABN holder meeting the eligibility criteria, we envisage a great deal of opportunity for a wide range of community members in your district.
