How to book a casual stall

Market stall locations Map click for big versionBookings are compulsory for every market and casual stallholders are welcome to apply.

Applications for casual stalls must be made each month to book or rebook a stall by telephoning the market coordinator on the market mobile: 0416 233 584 on the Friday following the market. Every attempt is made to respond to all messages.

Bookings by casual stall holders  are not accepted via email or text, nor are bookings or payments accepted for months in advance.

Allocation of  casual site

When a booking request is made the individual will be advised that they have either been allocated a site, or they have been placed on the waiting list.

All bookings for each monthly market are closed on the Friday afternoon prior to market day.  Please do not assume that because you attended a previous market you will be given a site automatically

The market is on rain, hail or shine - unless it's a Code Red day. Please read the market policy for futher information.

Payment for casual stalls

For casual stallholders – payment must be made prior to each market. Payment can be made by credit card or banking transfer when the Coordinator confirms your booking. You must have made a booking with the Coordinator prior to payment.

Permanent Stallholders

A permanent stallholder is a STALLHOLDER who has been granted a stall at the Violet Town Market at a designated site each month on an ongoing basis.

Approximately 75% of all stalls at the market are designated as permanent, with the remainder of stalls being reserved for casual bookings.

We presume permanent stallholders ARE coming unless you call to cancel by the Monday evening prior to the market.

If we do not receive a call to cancel by Monday evening prior to the market, you will be charged the monthly site fee.

Payment

For permanent stallholders – Stallholder fees must be paid for 12 months of the year.  Payment for permanent sites must be at least one month in advance of each monthly market, and a forward payment of 3 months is encouraged.  Payment of monthly fees can be made either by cash, cheque, or EFT.
